“We’re are wedding photographers and a busy duo too - so adding a ’third wheel with camera’ it for us and can add the potential for ‘camera fatigue’ for clients and guests at weddings. Historically, it sometimes causes us aggro. We worked with Mike for the first time this Summer at a beautiful Norfolk coastal wedding. Great couple, great guests, great venue… and as it turned out great videographer.
Mike’s good company, technically aware and always looking for a good angle. Mike got on his thing without interfering with ours and was able to bring his own sparkle and banter to the day making sure the casual and relaxed vibe prevailed. “Mike produced an excellent documentary film for us for the AHRC Dancing Otherwise: Exploring Pluriversal Practices network. He engaged with the research themes and worked with us at Southeast Dance (Brighton) to capture the events of a 1-day workshop. Mike sensed the mood and tone of the day beautifully and captured the essence of the event through film and documentary footage in which he captured interviews and discussions that conveyed a sense of what we were trying to explore through collaborative working and exploratory movement sessions. Mike really dived into the themes and ideas behind the day and as a result he really understood what we were trying to do. As a result, his film work was sensitive, his presence in the space was unobtrusive and through his editing and postproduction work he produced a film that really celebrated the sense of being together through movement and shared endeavour central to the event and its ethos.
